Introduction
As soon as she was pinned to the bed, Jenny finally realized what it meant to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Staring in shock at the man brazenly putting his hands all over her, she snapped out of it and furiously kicked him away. "Get lost, you pervert!" "Come on, don’t be difficult," he murmured, his breath warm against her skin. "You’ve already pulled off my towel—how are you planning to take responsibility?"

"Splash"

A cup of ice water was splashed on Jenny Hart's face. Transparent droplets trickled down from her hair tips to her chin, continuously dripping onto her skin. The cold was piercing to the bone.

This was a high-end club, where every minor commotion would be magnified indefinitely. In a moment, it managed to grab the attention of everyone present.

Various unfriendly gazes fell onto Jenny, so sharp that it felt like they were slicing through skin and bone. However, even in such a humiliating situation, Jenny stood firm, unmoving. Her long, curling eyelashes did not so much as flutter, and her eyes remained utterly serene.

Setting the glass aside, Amira Hart, with a challenging smile on her face, sneered, "See for yourself, Jenny. I'm the one who stole your boyfriend today, but all you can do is stand there and let me bully you. I threw a cup of water on you, and you can't even fight back!"

Her words were arrogant and offensive. Hearing this, Jenny's dark pupils twitched, her fair, slender fingers pulling out a tissue from her purse to patiently wipe the remaining water droplets off.

"If such actions and words can offer the slightest solace to your heart, sister, I don't mind if you'd like to ratchet things up even further."

Does stealing something of hers provide Amira with a sense of achievement? As Jenny quirked her lips, the sarcasm in her eyes became quite apparent.

Jenny's reaction infuriated Amira. She wanted to humiliate her, not to see her so at ease! She despised this woman ever since birth!

"Also, sister, correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you the one who is engaged?" Jenny said, her smile pure and innocent.

The Moore family was a force that the Hart family could not afford to offend. One would wonder where Amira got the guts from, knowing full well that she was betrothed by the Moore family, yet dared to mess around with other men.

"The Moore family wants to marry a daughter from the Hart family, but, remember sister, I'm not the only daughter in our family." Amira's gaze drifted over Jenny, causing a subtle stiffness in the latter's spine.

"One is a sickly, unattractive girl with a child by her side, the other is an illegitimate daughter who seduced her teacher for grades. She even eloped when she was 19. What a perfect match you two would make."

Amira's voice wasn't loud, but here in the high-end venue, when she sloshed a glass of water over Jenny, all eyes turned to them.

And now, after her words, people stared at Jenny with strange gazes, a mix of mocking and disdain.

Pleased with the scenario she set up, Amira gave Jenny a challenging look before turning her back on her and striding away.

Seeing Amira's haughty figure, Jenny couldn't help but curve her lips into a smile. Did she think such an act could humiliate her? What Amira really lost was the respect of the Hart family.

"Sister," Jenny suddenly spoke.

"You again... Ah!"

Before Amira could finish her sentence, a glass of water was splashed on her head, mirroring the scene when she did the same to Jenny.

"This is payback for the glass of water, no need to thank me," Jenny said, her smile as bright as ever, as she took one step at a time towards Amira.

"Sister, your nose, which you just got done in Korea, seems to be crooked. Would you like to take a good look at it?"

As an up-and-coming actress enjoying a climb in her career, Amira's obsession with her appearance had reached an obsessive level.

" What did you just say?" Amira covered her nose in horror, "Jenny, wait for my revenge, payback is coming!"

With that, Amira quickly left the scene, both hands still protectively covering her newly-done nose.

"So boring." She was so dull that Jenny didn't even have a sense of accomplishment.

After wiping the droplets off her hair, Jenny sat at the bar, resting her chin on one hand. Her beautiful eyes glowed as if the person who had just been shamefully splashed with water was not her at all.

"Give me a Jägerbomb," said Jenny.

"Oh, sure." The bartender finally seemed to come to his senses, taking his eyes off her and beginning to prepare her drink without daring to glance at her again.

"Are you trying to drown your sorrows?"

A deeply refined voice suddenly appeared next to her. Just a simple four-word sentence, but it sounded more intoxicating than the sound of a piano played by a master.

"No, I'm celebrating," Jenny said, looking in the direction of the voice, her eyebrows raised slightly.

She couldn't believe what she saw; an incredibly handsome man, with clear and handsome features, eyebrows, and eyes wide open, his eyes shrouded in a layer of enchanting mist, making her heart tremble. He was even more refined than a figure from a painting.

A beautiful and exquisitely handsome man, this unknown gentleman, had really shattered her usual perception of men.

Taking her eyes off him, Jenny drank the cocktail in her glass in a lazy sort of way, the spicy alcohol causing her to frown.

"Celebrating?" The man arched his eyebrow slightly.

"Yes, celebrating."

Finally seeing how little love meant to the man she was involved with, finally getting rid of an indecisive lover, wasn't this a cause for celebration?

Hooking up the corner of her mouth, Jenny tossed her head back, drinking half the alcohol in her glass, revealing her slender and delicate neck. The elegance was captivating and made Harris Moore's eyes darken. This cocktail had a strong aftertaste. Jenny was already feeling groggy after just one sip. She couldn't drink anymore. She wasn't some pampered young lady born into luxury. She had no resources to squander. Pulling a note out of her purse, Jenny grimaced. Everything in this venue was ten times more expensive than it should be. She had just spent three days' worth of living expenses.

Damn that philandering man, he even cost her at the end.

But before she could complete her payment, her delicate wrist was suddenly grabbed, and the warm temperature transferred to her skin, inexplicably feeling torrid.
