"Stephanie, you blind woman you have harmed my son for three years. Why haven't you died yet?"
A sharp and harsh voice came from the phone. Stephanie's eyelashes trembled, and there was no light in her beautiful peach blossom eyes.
She was blind and had been married to Michael for three years. His mother had never liked her and had always treated her like a thorn in her flesh. Even after they moved out of the Miller family, she would still call and insult her every day.
In the past three years, because she was Michael's mother, Stephanie had endured the insults. However, she did not intend to endure them today.
Stephanie sneered. "Mrs.. Miller, it was your son who wanted to marry me. If you have the ability to talk to your son, as long as you can persuade him to divorce me, I will pack up and leave without saying a word. You don't have the guts to talk to your son. Do you have a sense of accomplishment in bullying a blind woman like me?"
Mrs.. Miller hadn't expected Stephanie, who had been scared out of her wits for three years, to say something like that. Her face was livid with anger. She was just about to scold her, but she had only managed to say one word when the call ended
Stephanie heard the sound of a car coming from the door, so she simply hung up the phone.
As soon as she put away her mobile phone, the door was pushed open, and the cold wind mixed with snow poured in.
Stephanie shivered and looked at the door with her empty eyes. "Michael, is that you?"
The tall figure walked over to her. Michael pursed his lips, and his handsome face seemed to be frozen in ice and snow. He was cold and ruthless. "Why are you back early? I still have something to do in the company. Let's cut to the chase."
His voice was full of impatience. Stephanie's chest seemed to be stuffed with a mass of cotton, sour and uncomfortable. His dislike was too obvious. Why didn't she notice it before?
She bit her lower lip hard and finally opened her mouth after a long while. "Michael, let's get divorced!"
He didn't expect her to say such a thing. He suddenly looked at her and pursed his lips into a straight line.
"Stephanie, stop fooling around. Take back what you just said. I can pretend that i didn't hear you say it."
His casual words made Stephanie's heart surge with anger. "Michael, do you think I'm messing with you?"
With an angry expression, she suddenly stretched out two arms from the blanket.
Stephanie's skin was very white. After being blown by the cold wind, it turned blue and purple in the blink of an eye. What was most eye-catching was the dense pinhole on it, which was shocking.
"Michael, in the past three years, you took me to the hospital every once in a while, to draw blood. I've tried to convince myself that you care about me, love me, and care about my body. I didn't expect you to be lying to me all this time. You bullied me because I was blind and made me lose blood for three years."
When Stephanie spoke, her lips were trembling, and her voice was shaky. "For three years, she has never stopped. Is that woman named Samantha more important to you?"
Michael's heart ached for some reason when he saw her injured arm. However, he was quickly suppressed by disgust. He looked away and asked, "Where did you find out about this? Who told you about it?"
"Don't worry about what I know." Stephanie took out a document from her arms and slammed it on the tea table. "This is the divorce agreement. You can sign it!"
Michael went forward and flipped through it. It said that as long as he was willing to divorce, she was willing to leave her house.
In order to divorce him, she didn't want anything. Michael sneered. "Stephanie, I had planned to hide it from you. Now that you know, I'll tell you the truth."
As he spoke, he suddenly stepped forward and pinched her chin hard. He looked at her delicate and beautiful little face and finally moved it to her empty eyes.
"Three years ago, your father was drunk, causing Samantha to become a vegetable. She was lying in the hospital for three whole years and did not wake up. This is what you owe her."
Upon hearing this, Stephanie's blood seemed to freeze. She retorted subconsciously, "No, no, my father didn't drink! He didn't!"
She was so anxious to justify her father that her voice became strained. Her slender body kept shaking, and her little face was as pale as snow.
Michael glared at her and said sternly, "Stephanie, why are you pretending to be so pitiful? He didn't drink alcohol, yet you managed to find a large amount of alcohol in his blood during the autopsy. Stephanie, the evidence is quite clear. At this time, you are still arguing for your drunkard father. You are really stubborn!"
"If it weren't for the fact that you have the same blood type as Samantha, I would feel sick even if I looked at you. It was just a revenge, but you took it seriously. How ridiculous!"
His words made Stephanie's face turn pale.
In a trance, she took a few steps back. Because she couldn't see, she stumbled on the stool and fell to the ground. This fall was so fierce that she was like a dying fish, groping and struggling for a long time, but she couldn't get up.
Michael looked at her coldly, he had no intention of helping her up. His voice was full of sarcasm. "Stephanie, you don't have the right to divorce me. You should pay for your father's debts. From now on, you have to add blood to Samantha's blood until she wakes up."
Stephanie's eyes immediately turned red. When the truth was revealed, she realized that Michael was much more ruthless than she had imagined.
She slowly touched the chair and got up. Her body was covered with dirt. Even if she couldn't see it, she knew that she was in a mess.
Stephanie's delicate little face was full of tears, and her words were stubborn and unyielding.
"Michael, it's fine if I continue to give her my blood. I just want you to divorce me."
